You have seen the holes… something deep within tells you there are parts missing….

Do you trust everything they have said to you… year after year?

Ephesians 2: 11-6
Therefore, remember your former state; you Gentiles by birth, Called the uncircumcised… at that time had no Messiah. You were estranged from the national life of Israel. You were foreigners to the covenants embodying God’s promise. You were in this world without hope and without God.

Paul is speaking as a Jew.... He believed, as all Jews of the day did, that the Jews were "Gods chosen people".

He believed that only the Jews had true knowledge and experience of God.

He says… Remember your former state… You were estranged from us… You were not partakers of God’s promises…. You had no hope.

Remember that Paul was a Jew. Paul is speaking from the perspective that Jerusalem and the Jewish people are the center…… He speaks out to the Gentiles from that place. From a Jerusalem perspective out to the uncivilized world “Gentiles”.

He is speaking to the Gentiles in 2:31 and tells them:
"remember your former state: You gentiles by birth (at that time) had no Messiah. You were estranged from the national live of Israel (could not be included in the promises God has given the Jews)... You were foreigners to the covenants embodying God's promise. You were in this world without hope and without God.”

2:13... But now, you who were once far off have been brought near....

He has made us both one....."


The point being... Paul was telling us (gentile believers) that we could
now be included with Israel in all the promises and relationship with
God.... We were being brought to them (the Jews)....

2:19 you are fellow citizens with God's people (the Jews) and members of God's family (the Jews)......


He does not say…. You have replaced Gods people… Or that God is doing a new thing…

Once we discover that we have been brought into Gods covenant promises with Israel (with the Jews) our interpretation of everything else must change.


Eph 2:15 He did this in order to create in union with himself from the two groups (Jew and Gentile) a single new humanity and thus make peace.

Jew and Gentile are now one people in union with Him.....

So we are not a "complete people" without the Jew!....

Why….. The answer will surprise you….. The answer is so clear…..
